CERTIFICATIONS

All market players trading in biofuels are subject to the following periodic checks:

  • Initial checks, including the issue of a company compliance certificate valid for five years (regular inspections are still carried out)
  • Annual retrospective audit based on an information sample included in the compliance declaration/sustainability certificate
  • Certification renewal checks after five years

Checks are based on:

  • Supply chain definition and verification
  • Management of products and sustainability batches
  • Mass balance and traceability checks
  • Support documentation for group certifications
  • Calculation of emissions; typical and standard emissions for different sectors, weighted calculation of co-digestion emissions based on standard yields

These support documents are able to assist certification audits carried out by independent accredited bodies in order to certify traceability and sustainability requirements.


Our technicians receive special training so that they can help you to prepare all the documentation required to obtain a sustainability certification.
